Its basic alphabet was designed in 2005 by Thatcher Ulrich, who put his font, called “Tuffy”, into the public domain. As of, it has been updated to support the newly-invented TURKISH LIRA SIGN ₺, which has been assigned to U+20BA, though the standardization process for it has not been completed. ![]() ![]() Rupakara is a sans-serif font created primarily to give support to the newly-invented INDIAN RUPEE SIGN ₹, which has been assigned to U+20B9.
